BRING LINDSAY IN
Not for a dry keynote or a panel that says a lot and reveals nothing. Not for “5 tips to optimize your life.” Bring me in if you want something more alive than that.
I’m Lindsay Wheeler - therapist, writer, workshop facilitator, and founder of Sad Friends Social Club, a virtual community built around vulnerability, creativity, mental health, and telling the truth a little more bravely than usual.
I lead conversations and experiences that help people feel more human in the room. The kind where people laugh, exhale, write things down they didn’t know they needed to say, and leave feeling more connected to themselves and each other.
What I Speak About
My work lives at the intersection of mental health, vulnerability, creativity, queer identity, community-building, grief, resilience, and being a person in a difficult world.
I’m especially drawn to spaces that want more than inspiration theater. I love creating experiences that are thoughtful, emotionally resonant, and actually useful - whether that means a keynote, facilitated conversation, workshop, panel, or something more custom.
Where I’ve Brought This Work
I’ve facilitated workshops in collaboration with Brandi Carlile’s community, and I’ve spoken at local Pride events, mental health events, and community gatherings centered on connection, healing, and honest conversation.
My style is heartfelt, engaging, funny in the places it should be funny, and unafraid to go somewhere real. In other words: I can speak to a room without sounding like I swallowed LinkedIn.
What Working With Me Feels Like
Expect a speaker who is: grounded but not stiff, insightful without being inaccessible, emotionally honest without making it all unbearably heavy
playful, thoughtful, and deeply attuned to the room.
I know how to hold tenderness without losing momentum and how to make people feel included. I know how to build something that lingers after the event is over.
Topics Could Include
vulnerability as a practice, not a branding strategy
mental health in community, not just in isolation
queer identity, belonging, and the courage to be known
creativity as survival, expression, and self-return
burnout, emotional honesty, and life under pressure
building spaces that feel meaningful, intimate, and human
I also love tailoring talks and workshops to the specific needs of your audience, event, or organization.
